The rear windows do not go completly down as it's a safety feature to stop children etc leaning and falling out of the window.

I believe the reason the rear windows don't go all the way down is because of the design of the door and the protruding wheel well. The glass appears taller than the what the door will allow to go into it and thus only will go down so far. But, no, there's nothing wrong with your rear windows.

Yep, this is exactly it. Just be happy you've been fortunate enough to have all your cars prior to this one have fully-retracting rear windows. Many, many car designers are willing to sacrifice this feature for packaging reasons.

Thank you everyone for your replies. Not entirely in agreement with the designers about this, but it's a minor annoyance.

 

i like the fact since my daughter cant lean out the window as far...

and the trans clunk thing..i only get that on hills...never on a flat surface and i have a 09 ex with 1,000 miles
